BZS Weekender 2025

Iago & Ninna are from Vitória-ES in Brazil
They are Brazilian Zouk teachers, dancers and DJs as well as organizers of events such as the IN Zouk Festival in Vitória-ES, and the Portugal Brazilian Zouk Festival in Lisbon-PT.
Both are official Jack-and-Jill judges of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC) and also regular participants.
They studied with great professionals such as Jaime Arôxa, Bruno Galhardo, Val & Vanessa and others to constantly improve their dance and teach new techniques.
In 2022, Iago & Ninna made their partnership official and together they develop their work around the world, teaching Brazilian Zouk at workshops and congresses.
They are currently part of Val & Vanessa’s Zouk Needs You (ZNY) team, which focuses on training and developing dance techniques.

Jack & Jill
This competition is designed to give you the opportunity to try out a J&J participation in a simple and safe environment. Here, too, the focus is on having fun.
The competition takes place before the ZoukPrime. Depending on the number of participants, there will be a short finale during the party to complete your J&J experience. Don’t worry, you’ll get deafening support from the audience! Participation in the competition is voluntary.

LEVEL
On Saturday and Sunday, the last 1.5 hours are divided into two different levels. “Primary School” and “High School”.
Please be honest, the teachers and the other participants will thank you.
Primary School:
You know the common elements such as; Basicstep, Lateral, Singleturn (side, front, back), Lunge, Game of Soltinho.
You know Bodymovements such as: Bodywave, Elastique, Sidewave, Body- & Hipcircles.
You do not need any experience in headmovements.
High School:
You know everything from the Primary School level.
You are confident in dancing and timing Brazilian Zouk.
You know the basic concept of circular head movements with and without steps as well as the Frango Assado and simple tilted turns.

The organizer reserves the right to adjust the level of a participant if, in his opinion, it is not appropriate.
