Both from Rio de Janeiro and partners since 2021, Gustavo and Fernanda bring their passion for dance to classes, shows, and congresses across Brazil and around the world. Specialists in Samba de Gafieira, they share the rich roots and traditions of this vibrant dance.
Gustavo is known for the label Gafieira Maluca, owner of the school Cozinha da Gafieira, and organizer of the festival Todo Mundo Samba. Fernanda is part of Ballet Diogo Nogueira, with a diverse dancing background in Funkeado, Ballet, and Contemporary, and is involved in several dance projects.
Samba de Gafieira
Samba de Gafieira is a Brazilian partner dance that originated in the ballroom scene of Rio de Janeiro. Rooted in African, European, and Brazilian influences, it combines smooth, flowing movements with rhythmic footwork. The dance requires connection, coordination, rhythm, and radiates vibrant energy.
Samba no pé
Samba no pé is a Brazilian solo dance characterized by fast, rhythmic footwork. Known from the Rio Carnival, it is danced to samba music and thrives on improvisation, musicality, and personal expression. The dance builds agility, coordination, and is full of energy and joy.
